Meet the people behind Etuity Core!

Say 'Hi' to Even Vik Olsen!

⚒️ What is your role in building or improving Etuity Core?

My role is to build robust software that will be used by many of our customers. As developers, we work closely with business analysts, UX, and testers to understand the products from the design before we begin development. It is cool to see how the design comes to life in the solutions we're building.

🤝 Can you share a moment or project where teamwork helped move Etuity Core forward?

One standout moment was when we completed what we refer to as the "happy path," a major milestone and internal deadline for the team. We tied together many components we had been building and successfully connected them and showcased them with a demo. Seeing the entire flow working smoothly was a great success for the team and really highlighted the impact of our teamwork.

🚢 How do you see your work helping users or the wider marine insurance community?

We are working on a solution designed to make life easier for people in the marine insurance community. Our goal is to reduce manual work by creating a more efficient, intuitive system that’s easy for users to navigate, by simplifying complex processes and improving data sharing.

💡 In what ways do you share knowledge with your team or others at Instech Solutions?

I like to be a supportive and collaborative team member, always open to questions and discussions just as the rest of the team is. We’re constantly learning, and there’s a strong culture of knowledge sharing where there are no wrong questions. Every Friday, we have larger and smaller demos to showcase what we've built and share insights we've gained. I'm also mentoring an intern, which has been both rewarding and fun. Helping others grow while reinforcing my own understanding has been a great experience.
