Customer insight, collaboration and the next technology chapter
Over two inspiring days in Bergen, Instech Solutions welcomed customers to the INS+ User Meeting and Etuity Core Insights meeting. The event brought together experienced users, decision-makers and product specialists to discuss what works well today, what can be improved, and how the next generation of marine and energy insurance technology should support the market in the years ahead.
First and foremost, thanks to everyone who took part. The engagement, honesty and willingness to share practical experience are essential to how we develop our products. The value of a user meeting is not only in presentations and demonstrations, but in the conversations between people who work with the systems every day and understand the operational realities behind each process, report, claim, endorsement and payment.
On the way from INS+ to Etuity Core
The first day focused on INS+, including new functionality, demonstrations, support improvements and workshops on future support and communication. INS+ remains a business-critical platform for our customers, and the discussions confirmed the importance of continued stability, clarity and practical improvements while customers prepare for the future.
We presented the results from last customer survey. The results are significantly better than last year. Mostly a result of listening to suggested changes and implementing them.
Group work continued getting insights to the ideal transition from INS+ to Etuity Core and getting the best use of Etuity Core. Data migration is a key concern, however presenting how we will migrate data provided an assurance that the risk can be acceptable.
A smooth transition does not happen by itself. It requires planning, transparent communication, practical migration strategies and a shared understanding of what must continue to work reliably during the transition period. The workshops gave us valuable input on how Instech can support customers before, during and after go-live with Etuity Core. It seems clear to all that changing a core system is not just an IT project, but an organisational change that requires resources, commitment and involvement from top management through to end users.
Etuity Core: building for efficiency, data and future readiness
The second day turned to Etuity Core, with sessions on migration strategy, product demonstrations, prototype review and feature exercises. The discussions confirmed that the industry is moving toward a new operating model: one where efficiency, data quality, interoperability and user experience are no longer optional improvements, but prerequisites for competitiveness.
A recurring insight was that AI and digital transformation ambitions depend heavily on the quality of the underlying data and system architecture. Many organisations are exploring automation and AI, but the ability to scale these initiatives depends on structured data, modern workflows and systems designed for integration. Etuity Core is being built with this reality in mind: to reduce manual handling, support better collaboration, and make it easier for marine and energy insurance professionals to use data effectively.
Customer involvement is central to this work. Through workshops, interviews, prototype reviews, demonstrations and real-world feedback, we are continuously testing whether our ideas solve the right problems. The meeting reinforced how important it is to build Etuity Core together with the people who understand the market, the workflows and the consequences of getting things wrong.
From product development to partnership
One of the strongest messages from the two days was that successful core system development is a partnership. It requires trust, openness and a willingness to discuss both opportunities and concerns. For Instech, this means continuing to listen carefully, explain our priorities clearly and deliver in a controlled and predictable way.
We are grateful for the constructive input received during the meeting. It will help us improve INS+ support and documentation, refine our transition planning, and continue shaping Etuity Core into a solution that reflects the real needs of carriers, brokers and MGAs in marine and energy insurance.
